报告摘要：The missing faces of a simplicial complex are known as the minimal non-faces. While the celebrated g-theorem completely characterizes the face numbers of simplicial polytopes and spheres, much less is understood about the behavior of their missing faces. In this talk, I will share recent joint work with Isabella Novik focused on establishing lower bounds for the number of missing faces in simplicial spheres. Our approach blends techniques from extremal combinatorics, commutative algebra, and rigidity theory.
