摘要(Abstract):A magnetic field, through its geometric gauge potential, usually causes measurable effects on the wave functions. This concept has been fueling research since Aharonov and Bohm's seminal work. Now the gauge potentials have been synthesized in ultracold atomic gases and opened up many avenues in the exploration of quantum matter. Stimulated by these recent advances, in this talk I will present two timely topics: the Anderson localization transition and topological phase transition in the ultracold atoms, where we try to understand the intricate effects of gauge involved.
